The Anniston community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Cia Carmeshia Williams, who tragically lost her life in a head-on collision on Alabama Highway 77 in Ohatchee. She was 32 years old.
According to the Ohatchee Police Department, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 5:25 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, near Margie Lane. Williams was driving a 2017 Kia Forte when her vehicle collided with an 18-wheel tractor-trailer traveling along the highway.
Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and worked to provide assistance. However, Williams sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was also injured and transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Authorities have not released the individual’s identity or the extent of their injuries.
