With deep sorrow, family, friends, and members of the Graceville, Florida community mourn the passing of William “Bill” Morrow, a beloved resident whose life was defined by faith, family, hard work, and service to others. Bill passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the age of 62, following complications from surgery. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Born on October 7, 1963, Bill was the son of Jeannette Morrow and the late John M. Morrow. A lifelong resident of Graceville, he graduated from Graceville High School as part of the Class of 1981 and remained deeply connected to the community that shaped his life. Known for his reliability, humility, and friendly nature, Bill built lasting relationships with neighbors, friends, and colleagues over the years.
Family was at the center of Bill’s life. He shared a loving and devoted marriage with his wife, Sandra Hunter Morrow, and together they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and shared values. He was a proud father to Wesley Dalton Morrow and a caring stepfather to Jessica Pugh and Austin Deacon. As a grandfather, he found great joy in Emma, Lily, and Ethan Pugh, as well as Hailey and James Deacon, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Bill is also survived by his mother, Jeannette Morrow; his sister, Anna Morrow Thomas; and his special cousin, George “Skip” Taylor of Navarre, Florida, along with extended family members and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Morrow, and his grandparents, George and Mary Frances Morrow of Graceville, and Dewey and Berta B. Peel of Louisville, Alabama.
From a young age, Bill developed a passion for trucks, which grew into a lifelong and fulfilling career in the trucking industry. During his time with Johnston Trucking of Brundidge, Alabama, he earned a reputation for professionalism, dedication, and dependability. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did.
Faith played a central role in Bill’s life. As a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Graceville, he found purpose in fellowship and service. His quiet strength, compassion, and kindness reflected the values he held close and guided the way he lived each day.
Those who knew Bill will remember him as a man who valued people above all else. His warm spirit, generosity, and genuine care for others created lasting memories that will continue to comfort those who mourn his loss.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Graceville, with Dr. Naethan Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Graceville under the direction of James & Lipford Funeral Home.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at James & Lipford Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Graceville, P.O. Box 565, Graceville, FL 32440.
